Mix it up: 5 Ways To Activate Your Thai Herbal Mask

Mix it up: 5 Ways To Activate Your Thai Herbal Mask

Discover the perfect combination for your skin type

If you are looking for an all-natural way to keep your skin healthy, clean and glowing, you’ve come to the right place.

Our Thai Herbal Mask is an antioxidant powerhouse that gives skin a natural glow while deeply purifying it due to its naturally containing AHA. The 100% active ingredients in the mask protect against acne breakouts, stimulate collagen, protect skin from pollution, reduce surface fine lines and make skin softer, firmer, brighter and smoother.

To make it even greater, you can mix your Thai Herbal Mask with many different ingredients to achieve the best results for your specific skin type needs. The big advantage is that you probably have most of these ingredients in your kitchen, so you can easily try out the different options and discover which one works best for you. Here are my five absolute favourite options to activate the Thai Herbal Mask with, I'm sure you'll love them too:

1. (Tonic)water

Our mask has been formulated to be activated on the spot. An obvious and easy choice to do that with - but still worth mentioning - is water. (Tonic) water adds a refreshing and hydrating boost to the Thai Herbal Mask. Its carbonation helps to open your pores and improve circulation, giving you a healthy glow. The mask works extremely effectively by simply mixing 2 teaspoons of mask with one teaspoon of water — and this works for just about any skin type. For best results, continue moisturising the mask regularly with a facial mist. It's a misconception that a mask needs to dry completely once applied to the skin. If the mask remains slightly dampened throughout your "mask-moment", the ingredients will stay active and will continue to absorb best into your skin.

2. Apple Cider Vinegar

If you tend to have more oily, acne-prone skin, then mixing our mask with some apple cider vinegar may be the answer you’ve been looking for. Its acidic properties help to balance the pH of your skin, while its antimicrobial properties help to clear up any blemishes or breakouts. If you find apple vinegar a bit too strong, try mixing it with a little water! :-)

3. (Kefir) Yogurt

One of my personal favourites! Yogurt in general, but Kefir especially has cleansing, anti-inflammatory and exfoliation properties essential to acne treatment. Kefir contains probiotics, which help to improve your overall skin health. Also does kefir contain lactic acid; an AHA which is a well-known skin exfoliator. This natural lactic acid helps to break down dead skin cells and fade any dark spots, which is key if you have skin that's more on the oily/ combination side but also the perfect remedy for sensitive, red or dry itchy skin. Its moisturising properties help to keep your skin nourished and hydrated. This is the perfect choice for those with mature or ageing skin, but suitable for all skin types.

4. Aloe Vera

A great option if you have dry or sensitive (winter) skin. Aloe Vera is a humectant which means it helps to attract and lock in moisture to the skin, which not only makes it moisturising but also incredibly soothing. Also does Aloe Vera protect the skin from environmental damage. You can mix a little bit of Aloe Vera and honey together with the mask if you’re looking for a little extra hydration.

5. Honey

I'd recommend adding this natural superstar to all of the previous options for an extra moisture boost. Honey is also a humectant, so mixing it with our mask means you’ll be left with super soft and hydrated skin. The anti-inflammatory properties of honey make it great for sensitive skin. Honey also prevents the growth of disease-causing microorganisms and has antibacterial, antioxidant and antiseptic properties that fight acne-causing bacteria. Again suitable for all skin types! You’ll be amazed by how clean and soft your skin will feel after.

I hope this article has helped you on how to best mix your Thai Herbal Mask. It's good to know that you don't have to limit yourself to only tap water. Have fun experimenting which combination works best for you, I’m sure you will love the different options and the feeling it gives to your skin afterwards.
